Alternate Nobody !!

I'm confused! Does the original vinyl version of Nobody have an 8 second intro not found on any CD?

I've had this CD for about 10 years and NEVER listened to it.. yesterday i saw the thread in the multimedia section about the Nobody edit on the 1986 two-fer and i wanted to check if i had those edited versions on other CD versions of DRPTJ5.. i still haven't finished checking yet.. i need to check MOTD 5129, 3746351292 etc

the first one i checked was this version:

it has an 8 second intro not on the other CD's. it times out at 2:25

Par contre je n'ai jamais eu le LP d'origine entre les mains donc je ne peux pas te dire si ces 8 secondes y étaient.

Merci pour cette info ! Sur les pressages américains (référence MOTD-5129 et 3746351292) figurent une version de 2:44. L'introduction est identique. Le fondu commence un peu plus tôt.

if this truly is the original vinyl version.. i'm shocked that Motown / Universal still have not issued the album on CD in it's entirety.. so even on the 2001 two-fer it is not complete.. it's been 20 years since i had the vinyls and i never played them that much so i just don't remember little things like this.

a couple of months ago i got this new Japanese pressing.. but it's still sealed and don't won't to open it..

i listened again.. i would label this as an alternate version musically..

it misses out the opening "nobody.. no.. nobody" chorus .. it has a new intro and then straight into the first "money in the bank.." verse.

i feel really embarrassed that i have had this CD sooo long and never noticed

i keep thinking my ears are playing tricks on me.

how strange that this is on a cheap compilation ??

i wonder what other gems are waiting to be discovered.
